Happy Wednesday!

This week I had the honor and pleasure to present an introduction to People Analytics in a unique learning session for the new Head of Workforce of IDF (Israel Defense Forces), alongside keynotes of Israeli CHROs in leading organizations, like Microsoft, Siemens, and others. I was genuinely inspired by the collaboration of people and organizations with entirely different cultures and purposes and by the openness and willingness to share and learn from each other. It was also the first event I participated in for ten months! Indeed, it made me more optimistic about the coming year.

I wish you a happy and healthy 2021!

The registration for my introductory course will end tomorrow (Thursday). I'm excited to start two learning groups in January, and looking forward to meeting my new students!

Opportunity to meet remotely!

In January I'll anchor the event HR & People Analytics with my talk: "Your Lighthouse In The Rough Seas Of People Analytics". This event is a great opportunity for Hebrew speakers to learn from People Analytics Colleagues in Israeli and global organizations.

Recent Interview

I had a wonderful talk last week with my colleagues Yossi Koren and Taly Kuzy about People Analytics from the perspective of CEOs. The Hebrew record is already on Spotify, iTunes, and on the Israeli OD Association's website.

Thoughts and Articles

People Analytics transforms the HR sector. However, I believe that the professional transformation happens when HR leaders bypass their barriers and leverage learning and open culture.

Data from Mars, HR leaders from Venus

Being an eternal student is one ingredient in the secret sauce of success in People Analytics. The second is being a part of open-source culture. Future success is in Procurement and Ethics

Learning culture, rituals, and establishing People Analytics

Learning culture, rituals, and establishing People Analytics
People Analytics practices are related to HR practitioners' mindset. Sometimes a mindset change is a key to a successful path in analytics. Learning culture and rituals help to overcome resistance to change.

Tweets and Treats

A selection of contents I liked and shared this week on Twitter
What Is a Minimum Viable AI Product?
Enterprise sponsors should ask about #AI MVP: What #data assets do your primary models rely on for training? Do you already have sufficient data to train a somewhat effective #model? How proprietary is the data used to train your models? More in the article.
Navigate the road to Responsible AI
#AI #ethics involve cross-functional team collaboration, new tools, and processes, and proper support from key stakeholders. Current methods of measuring #business #success don’t translate to measuring the success of Responsible AI implementations.

When I started my People Analytics blog back in 2016, I chose one of my crane's photographs for the main page header. Cranes are a great metaphor – always on a worldwide journey, with their large flocks, dynamic roles, and inter-dependencies. They are just like us, people in organizations who are on their journey to a data-driven career.

When I wrote on that header, "data makes you fly," I couldn't imagine what would follow. The story will be published shortly in this book. Its' not only about my career path and insights. It is also about HR leaders who can embrace analytics and become heroes in their organizations. Enjoy a sneak peek, and please, write me some feedback.
