Happy Wednesday!
|
Imagine a C-suite level discussion. You would be surprised to find a CMO (chief marketing officer) who focuses on the company web site's conversion rates instead of discussing market share or other strategic topics. But in the HR verticals, we still see too many discussions on operational metrics, mistakenly presented as People Analytics instead of focusing on business questions. It is only one of many symptoms of analytical immaturity among HR professionals. But fortunately, we are on a journey to change that. I'm looking forward to continuing my humble contribution to the change, in my future learning groups.

What is the future of People Analytics from employees' point of view? I believe that employees and candidates will judge employers by the ethics in data management. I'm proud that I had this vision back in 2017, as it is still relevant today. Read more of my opinion on ethics in People Analytics.

Do your learning opportunities in the domain of People Analytics include experience in real organization data? In my opinion, there is no substitute for such an experience. This is the essence of my mentoring programs for HR leaders and the one-on-one sessions that I offer to students in my introductory course, "The People Analytics Journey."
