Littalics on Wednesday 2

Edition #9 - July 29th, 2020

Happy Wednesday!

Next week I will launch the 4th learning group of my introductory course, "The People Analytics Journey". The recent days of preparations and registrations were a unique opportunity to talk with many of my HR professional colleagues in Israel. I heard about unfulfilled needs, fears, and barriers. I learned more about changing priorities, new challenges, and pressures.
These conversations were not sales talks, nor qualitative market research among potential customers. They expressed our developing relationships. I believe that the best way to learn derives from relationships, within groups, and between individuals. I'm excited to meet the new class and have a one-on-one session with each of the students in this diverse group, which represents almost every role in HR management.

Interestingly, the structure of this course remained the same for more than a year. However, the contents continuously change following what we experience in the industry. That's why I like it so much. I also make the adjustments needed in every learning group. For that reason, I believe this course, also in its new format - live and remote, is perfect for company learning programs. I invite you to contact me to learn more or simply schedule a short remote meeting.

Cheers,
Littal

Thoughts and Articles

Don't get me wrong. I miss face-to-face meetings and activities. But remote work brought many of my colleagues closer, and I'm grateful for that. Nevertheless, I decided to go back to these two interviews with clients I used to meet in person, hoping that their learning path inspires us all again.

The Future of Privacy - Why Using and Protecting Personal Data Is a Vital Business Imperative

by @BernardMarr "What is the #future of #privacy and is it possible to have privacy in the era of #bigdata? In a recent conversation with #data leaders, we discussed the value of data, why it’s important to business success, what might be in store for the #future, and more."
Uber drivers sue for data on secret profiling and automated decision-making

HF @AndySpence, I think that from the #Ethic perspective, #gig workers should be considered as stakeholders too. If an #employer which profits from their #work holds data to support decision-making that influences their living, isn't it simply #fair that they have access to their own #data?
