Happy Wednesday!

I was honored to be featured on the May volume COVER of "HR Strategy & Planning excellence" magazine by with a version of my article, titled "If You Think Analysts Or Vendors Own The HR Data Strategy, You Are Wrong!"
I intend to enjoy the entire edition because it is great content curation for all People Analytics enthusiasts. Special thanks to Babitha Balakrishnan for featuring the article and the pleasure to collaborate!
And yet, this article raised interesting discussions on social media. One of my favorites was a thread on Twitter, started by Mark Lawrence. Mark's notes are really worth a thought!
Here's the article again, in case you've missed it.

Who owns the HR data strategy? Not analysts or vendors

Who owns the HR data strategy? Not analysts or vendors
The lens I choose to explore HR data strategy is my experience as an applied researcher specialized in organizational research. My perspective could be your lighthouse in the rough seas of the HR-Tech industry and a step to overcome some barriers on your journey to data-driven HR.

About Data and Visualization

Here's a question that I constantly deal with, regarding practicing, e.g., in R programming:

"Where can I find HR open data?
My advice, be familiar with free open data sources like WorldData.AI. But if you just look for small data sets that were gathered for the purpose of practicing, check Keith McNulty's
"peopleanalyticsdata" package available in R. It includes 11 datasets used in his book (that I'll recommend another time) though you can use them for your own practice. Similarly, Ben Teusch's course on Datacamp includes small data sets that are a simplification of HR data.

Littal's Lecture and Workshop

"If you are in any way interested in People Analytics (PA), you should know (and follow) Littal Shemer Haim. During the past weeks, I had the pleasure of participating in her course "The People Analytics Journey," which is a great introductory course to this topic and a gateway to this world. I highly recommend it to anyone in our field who should at least know what PA is and how it can be leveraged. Surely we will see more and more PA uses in HR in the coming years, and Littal is one of the best thought leaders in this area."
